Hey Everyone! Some of you may have noticed that there’s been a lack of Ulyana Sergeenko reports on my blog! I know, I’ve been neglecting a lot of the Russian style, but let me bring it all back with todays post featuring a backpack from the Ulyana Sergeenko atelier. I don’t know what it is about this backpack but it has made me want to dedicate a post to it. It’s odd shape, and supple leather has drawn me in completely. (The backpack is even getting a bit more screen time on Ulyana’s IG..which means she must really want people to take notice/ and break into the accessories scene) I saw a clip that showed off all 7 of the colours the backpack comes in, think earthy and blush tones! The backpack reminds me of a bucket bag hybrid..and looks as if it would appeal to the minimalist, or modern girl. Continue reading “Ulyana Sergeenko’s Leather Backpack ‘Hit Or Miss?’”
Hey Everyone I hope you’re enjoying all of the Vancouver Fashion Week collections that I’ve been adding! I know I took a lot of photos, and I still have quite a few more runway collections to show you. Today this VFW 2016 edition post is about Danya Weevers collection “The Power Of Women”. Danya Weever’s is a fashion designer from the Netherlands, who was inspired by her internships at Elsien Gringhuis and Dennis Diem. Her collections are often presented twice a year online, and this year at Vancouver Fashion Week. Danya’s designs can be described as minimalistic, while she acquires further inspiration from the human being- of their purity, or vulnerability…she’s even encouraged women to write in a diary and expose who they are on the inside to her, this is just one of the many ways Danya proves to be a Designer who wants her clothing to reflect who we are. Anna Pitchouguina’s not constrained by the usual colours range designers opt for in the autumn and winter months. In fact the East London based fashion designer’s collection mixes electric blues, yellows, and greens with muted tones of navy, grey –and a show stopping silver cocktail dress. The autumn/ winter 15/16 season from Pitchouguina plays on the word cosy, as the made in London garments are contrived of soft linens, and warming wools. You’ll also notice that the collection plays with texture, and hand stitched details. Hands down this collection is something to covet. Privet Matryoshkas! Earlier today I ended up Downtown Vancouver, and had spent the day shopping with my mom yet again. Coincidently we ran into an event where Rebecca Minkoff showed up at Holt Renfrew to sign handbags and purses. Since she is from New York, Holt Renfrew set up a NYC like theme in the lower half of the department store. For any of you who don’t know what Holt Renfrew it’s similar to Neiman Marcus, or Austria’s famed Steffl located in Vienna. Anyways there was a taxi cab image on the wall, and free soda and pretzels were being handed out to waiting Minkoff fans.
