Blue Coat & A Paloma Piccaso Handbag

Blue Coat & A Paloma Piccaso Handbag

Yesterday I had an errand to run with my husband, and with winter still clinging on in Pennsylvania, I decided to throw on a wool coat, and a small crossbody bag. As you can see, I wanted to look put together yet appear casual, and if you break down the look there are only two items that elevate my outfit. First, it is the statement coat that draws the most attention due to the colour. I am also confident that at first glance you are not noticing that I am wearing Lululemon leggings, a Hanes pullover or my UGG boots. If you think of it, these clothing choices are extremely casual items on their own. Secondly, I am wearing a handbag that is by a brand that not many people even know of, as it is now considered a defunct fashion label.

We are finally seeing established brands getting into sustainable manufacturing methods when it comes to the clothing they produce. We are also seeing brands develop new textile techniques, to figuring out how recycled materials such as plastic water bottles can be utilized in the fashion industry.

Fashion Find: $15 Maxi Dress

Hey Everyone! What I love about this time of year is that summer clothing starts to go on sale, that’s right the summer hasn’t ended..but you can snag some gorgeous pieces for enticing prices. Today I decided to venture off to Homesense/ Winners. Canadians know the deal with this place, but if you’re unfamiliar with Homesense & Winners..think of it like a Marshalls, or TJ Max (which it’s under the TJ Max group). Anyways I love to go to this store for my face washes, and moisturizers because sometimes if you look extra hard you can walk away with great products, for cheap. I’m stocking up on items for the Caribbean so this is the place to go. Now, I spotted a long, white Maxi dress with some embroidered detail, and guess what it happened to be on sale for $15, from $50. The dress is by the brand Japna, and is handmade in India. The Streets Are Popping With Colour This Summer + Gap Dress

Hey Everyone! Happy Tuesday, this is not a trending Tuesday post, I promise I’ll get back to making more of those shortly. Instead this happened to be another unexpected post, I wasn’t intending to even get a photo of my look, but yet again look at this street art! You know you’d want a photo op with this. Shay Mitchell’s Casual Sunday Inspo

Shay Mitchell’s Casual Sunday Inspo

Hey Everyone! There’s something about Shay Mitchell that reminds me of the blogger Sincerely Jules, perhaps it’s the beautiful places on the actresses Instagram page or maybe it’s the way she poses while wearing a pair of sunnies. Anyways I love Shay M’s casual style- she doesn’t try too hard and it reminds me of something almost anyone of us could pull off. Sometimes the simple styles are what I want to see…especially when I’m still recovering from the fashion at Vancouver Fashion Week and that was way back in March! Shay M’s style reminds me of the right amount of casual we could use on this happy Sunday. Unfortunately where I’m at, there’s a lot of rain, I’m bundled up in sweaters and I feel like we’ve reverted back to the season of fall. Continue reading “Shay Mitchell’s Casual Sunday Inspo”

Bianca Balti’s Statement Coat

Bianca Balti’s Statement Coat

Hey Everyone & Happy Sunday!! I know I’m really into statement coats at the moment since I made a post about all of the eccentric and bold outerwear seen at Milan FW only yesterday! Anyways, Bianca Balti is one of my favourite Italian models of all time, and I’ve decided to pick one of her casual styles for a long overdo Casual Sunday post. I want to say that I don’t advocate wearing real fur, so for the look that I’ve picked I’m opting for faux fur instead. One of the brands I’m suggesting for the look is Shrimps a UK based brand by Hannah Weiland that’s been gaining popularity lately! Their faux fur coats have been seen on Miroslava Duma to Poppy Delevingne. Anyways if you love wearing your jeans, but you want to take your style up a notch, this post is for you!

Ready Or Knot: Anchors Away!

Ready Or Knot: Anchors Away!

Hey, Happy Sunday!! Actually Happy Weekend! Some of you may remember that one of my Casual Sunday posts long ago..was dedicated to Miroslava Duma’s low key and nautical look– Well this time I’ve decided to do the nautical thing just a little bit differently as a nod to summer nearing an end. I’m going to be at The Yew this weekend for their three course brunch, and seafood is definitely on the menu! So I’ve been inspired to jump on deck and wear my own version of what nautical is to a la moi, and I’m posting my planned outfit right here in this post..along with a few other looks that plays on humble rope, anchor details- vibrant reds, navy and crisp ivories..in addition to the classic horizontal stripes. & I hope these looks can inspire you if you’re wondering what outfit to wear, for brunch, on a yacht in Odessa- or coffee in a trendy cafe & patisserie . Irina Shayk Romping’ Around

Irina Shayk Romping’ Around

Privet Matryoshkas, happy Casual Sunday! I’m excited about this post because it involves a romper and Irina Shayk. You see the romper that’s on Irina shayk as she tries to hail a cab in New York, is a romper that looks similar to a romper I own (from H&M by L.O.G.G- which is also featured in this post if you want a look similar to Irina’s), and wear every chance I get. This romper exudes comfort, beachy vibes, and suits my skin tone making it my HG of outfits for the summer. I also must confess that I have a romper obsession at the moment and I’ve already bought 4 this summer ranging from Dressy (for dining out), to Casual (perfect for Casual Sundays). I love wearing these out for casual, thoughtless style days..you know when you don’t really feel like putting an outfit together, and you don’t want to wear a dress, and you’re in no mood for playing mix and match with a two piece outfit. A romper is the third possible solution that can solve so many problems, just grab it, throw it on and go enjoy the day.  Continue reading “Irina Shayk Romping’ Around”

Casual Sunday: Natasha Poly’s Beach Waves

Privet Matryoshka’s! I’m feeling a little tired right now! I ended up attending an Armani Collezioni event held at ‘The Room’, where models showcased this seasons fall collection. I loved the entire event. I took so many photos of outfits I found to be chic, versatile and sophisticated. So, I can’t wait to show you a glimpse into the personal shopper world where fun, pink champagne and hors d’oeuvres are served, and refilled by the minute. But until that post goes up I hope you can be satisfied with this weeks Casual Sunday post featuring the always gorgeous, Natasha Poly. Continue reading “Casual Sunday: Natasha Poly’s Beach Waves”
