Privet Everyone! Wow, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed from all of the images from Fashion Week, but I’m almost done editing all of them! I’m also working on putting in content to make the posts come together. I’m sure you also might have noticed that I actually finished one post and put it up ASAP, and that was for Noe Bernacelli since I was so excited to share his collection with you. I was also happy that I got to sit in front row for his show, it was foot friendly, and a little bit easier to snap all of the photos I needed to get for you.
Anyways this post just means that you should expect a lot of posts, and photos of the collections that made their way down the runway. There were a lot of Eco friendly shows (& one in particular that is fighting to save Elephants from the ivory trade), evening wear, contemporary, modern, minimalist, unisex, and everything in between. There’s something for everyone.
This year Vancouver Fashion Week F/W 2016 was held at the Chinese Cultural Centre- marking this as the 27th season spanning over 16 years for VFW to be hosting international designers, buyers, media, vip guests, and fashionistas alike. I also had an amazing time at the opening gala, and I enjoyed both Friday and Saturdays shows (as you know I had a lot going on that I didn’t have the energy to sit in on every show). But I will be writing separate posts in the near future about an incident that took place on Friday, as well as what it’s like to be in the photographer pit, and my honest thoughts here and there. In the meantime I hope you will enjoy the collections of the designers on spotlight over here on Zaychishka Style.Com
In the meantime here are some Candids 🙂
“Now entering its 16th year and 27th season, Vancouver Fashion Week is one of the fastest growing fashion weeks in the world – creating a stage for talented local and international designers to reach global markets, fashion media and industry buyers. Since 2001, Vancouver Fashion Week has served as the gateway to designers who can’t show in the big events such as London, Paris, Milan and New York, and has helped launch many talents onto the world fashion stage.”
Cool! We canceled our Montréal fashion week. Nice to see creativity in Vancouver 😀

Yes, and Also No 🙂 It’s my second Vancouver Fashion Week experience..the shows are wonderful, and so are the designers. It’s great to be a blogger because you get press accreditation giving access to everything- including being able to jump into the photographers pit to sitting in front row, interviewing the designers etc… it’s actually a tiring experience at the end of the day!!! but, worth it.
