Privet Matryoshka’s Viva Vox has had some ups and downs in its Spring-Summer 2014 collection. There is a part of me that loves the lipstick printed dress (it looks fun!), and of course there is love for the neutral dresses in the collection. It’s the kermit the frog incorporation that ruins it for me- I know I’m not a muppets fan- so please don’t hate me for being indifferent to your childhood likes, and memories.
I also must offer my praise for this brand- Viva Vox asserts itself as a Russian fashion label that has both a strong presence and personality- it’s loud, it’s crazy and most importantly you can find common ground with its Avant-garde attitude(at times). On a side note what you’ll notice in the images below is that Viva Vox has incorporated a lot of Swarovski element details.. so brace yourselves for kermit the frog, and the attack of the bling.
The designer of this interesting label is Oleg Ovsiev who is a graduate of Ecole de Couture van Rijn (Netherlands). Oleg has worked in several international fashion companies before he was invited for the post of creative director VIVA VOX in 2005. Oleg is also the reason Viva Vox has a new line of prêt-a-porter de luxe.
