It’s time to spice up your winter fashion, pull out your faux fur stoles, structured coats and hats! This winter try your hand at drawing style inspiration from a very Russian, Leo Tolstoy classic, Anna Karenina. I absolutely adored the costumes featured in the 2012 film with Keira Knightley, making me wish I could waltz to a live orchestra in an elaborate vintage ball-style gown. This post features Anna Karenina looks that can be pulled off with ease (without the theatrics!). The story may have been a tragedy but that doesn’t mean your winter fashion has to be.
A dramatic take on Anna Karenina, at least the lip colour can be mimicked easily!
Miroslava Duma Structured double breasted coat & fur hat.
Ushanka’s a necessity for the Anna Karenina look
Anna Karenina subtlety can be achieved with a faux fur scarf
Love this girls style, and haunting use of rail-way scenery. Do you hear a train?
Another necessity a faux fur stole
Thick coats with structure bring to life the aristocratic style of Anna.
Lace in any form, (especially these heels) give off vintage appeal in modern times.
A modern twist for both men & women, love the man’s double breasted coat with the scarf. Perfection.
And Of Course Keira Knightley As Anna Karenina
I hope you enjoyed the post & have fun with your winter styles, don’t be afraid of being bold!
